My dad was originally the one that started at Dae Han in 2009 and loved it so much that in 2012 he signed me up as well! I have always loved coming to class and always felt welcome. I have always thought of Dae Han as my second family, as a student and even more now as an instructor. Through Dae Han I have met many amazing people, gained confidence and gained valuable life skills. I am forever grateful for Master Kim and all the teachers I have had at Dae Han for changing my life.

I started at Dae Han over 12 years ago when I was 8 years old. I was a very shy kid who didn’t like to try new things. My parents had tried putting me in several different sports, but none of them stuck. When I started at Dae Han though, I actually enjoyed it and wanted to continue. To be honest, at that age, I never really cared that much about the actual Taekwondo that I was learning. Of course I enjoyed it, but what made me stay was the amazing community that Dae Han had. Master Kim and all the other teachers were so kind and genuine, and really made an effort to create a relationship with every student. Through the Taekwondo that was taught and the relationships that were made, I learned so many lifeskills and grew so much as a person over the years. Now today, I am one of the head instructors at Dae Han and am planning on making Taekwondo my career. Dae Han has given me so much more than I could have ever dreamed of. Dae Han is my second home and my second family, and I’m so grateful to be part of this community.

I have been a student here since I was 8 years old in 2011. It has been my absolute pleasure to return here, not just as a student but as a teacher! Master Kim, is the best of the best. He is kind, patient, and the utmost respectful. He never fails to make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcome in the studio. I really cannot state enough how much this place has changed my life for the better! I learned respect, discipline, courtesy, self control and so much more. Dae Han Martial Arts is truly a second home to me; and I’m honored to be able to teach here.

When starting any activity for your kids you hope to find a place that is caring, engaging, and fun. When you begin any martial art, you hope for a place that is competent, professional, and can convey ideas well. It was clear after the first day that Dae Han fulfills all this and more.

Master Kim and all his staff are charming, flexible, and enjoy working with children. My son was excited and actively participated quickly after an initial welcome and sample class. He was dedicated to earning his white belt by fulfilling activities of discipline (and my wife and I enjoyed him cleaning up quickly to do so..). Activities are structured with whole and small group to support diverse learners in individualized activities. My son comes out of class proud and happy, and can clearly demonstrate skills taught to him.

What’s more is I have not found a parent who isn’t thrilled with Dae Han. Many have several kids at different levels all excited to continue the tradition. I plan on doing the same for my daughter and can’t recommend Dae Han enough.

The thing that stands out the most, is the ample number of teachers per class. There is a lead instructor and always 3-6 more teachers walking around guiding students. They are very flexible with their scheduling and happy to answer any and all questions. My son doesn’t always like coaches in other sports but has always gotten along with Dae Han instructors!

Busy Playbox

We’ve been attending this Taekwondo studio for the past six months, and I can’t say enough good things about it! My 4-year-old daughter has grown so much in confidence since we started. The teachers are incredibly attentive, patient, kind, and gentle with the kids. The student-to-teacher ratio is excellent, ensuring that each child gets valuable one-on-one time. We plan to continue coming here as long as she enjoys it, and we’re so grateful for the positive environment they’ve created. Highly recommended!

My son and daughter started attending Dae Han in July and they absolutely love it. I can see their confidence growing not just in taekwondo but in other aspects of their life. They’re taught to greet others respectfully and other disciplines such as patience, focus, teamwork and the list goes on. My kids wish they can attend classes everyday because they love the energy and most importantly, they love their teachers who are so positive, encouraging and enthusiastic about their growth. The ratio of teacher to students is something you don’t see at other taekwondo academies. On average, there are about 5-6 teachers who will work with 2-3 students on their forms. Kudos to Dae Han!

Our 2 sons have been coming for just under a year. We love the positive messages they hear twice a week in class. We are proud of the hard work the boys put into preparing for their belt tests. The Dae Han team is super flexible and kind to our family.
