My daughter has been receiving tutoring from Rosaura since January 2020. The one on one tutoring is exactly what she needed. After Kindergarten she attended Cal Eastbay reading program, 1st grade Kumon, and Bookworm tutoring nothing was working. At the beginning of 3rd grade I had the school do an assessment it was determined that she was dyslexic. The services provided by school district weren't sufficient. She needed a structured literary program and that's what Rosaura offered. She patiently worked with her 2 days a week at our home in person one on one. I 'm so happy that someone recommended Rosaura to me the structured literary program worked. She is able to read with confidence and not feel embarrassed. I highly recommend Rosaura to any parent seeking help for their child who is experiencing difficulties in school.

Having Rosaura as my childrens tutor was life saving. I have two children with dyslexia that have been able to succeed in school thanks to the tutoring that Rosaura provided. Finding a professional with the knowledge and experience that Rosaura has is not easy. Although the treatment is long Rosaura always encouraged and motivated the children to continue. Rosaura took it a step further, my child that has ADD and OT needed extra support. Rosaura noticed this needs so she took courses to better help my son in other areas.
She advocate for my children and helped me navigate the school district requirements so we could all support my children in succeeding. Rosaura became a family member to us. We are eternally thankful for her commitment and delivery

I will start by saying that my son hates reading/writing and has no patience! Rosaura worked with my son last summer and it had worked wonders! Her unique teaching skills not only helped him get better at reading/writing, she made learning more fun for him. It's a lot more easier for me now as a parent to work with my son with his academics. Rosaura worked with my 2nd grader for over a year all throughout remote learning. He started with her the second half of first grade and was extremely below grade level in reading, writing and comprehension. I suspected he might have dyslexia and ADHD (he was finally diagnosed with ADHD 9 months into working with her). He was struggling and hating remote learning and having a very tough time. Rosaura’s methodologies helped him tremendously and increased his self esteem. In a year and a half he went from not being able to identify all the letters of the alphabet to reading age appropriate books with minimal help and writing letters to friends. He still is slightly below grade level but his teachers have been blown away by his progress. It is in huge part to Rosaura and her work with him. She helped me navigate scores, tests and understanding the language when working for him to get an IEP through our school district. She is also extremely patient and motivating and knew how to keep him on track during their time together. Thank you for everything! You have made such a difference in his life!

The second we met by phone Aurora was helpful in every aspect. The amount of knowledge, experience and heart Aurora has let me to 100% trust the work she does. My daughter felt comfortable around her immediately, this is not usual for my child. She has a way with kids, ability to make my kid feel at home and confident. Aurora experience of working with the school system for her own Dyslexic son opened many unknown opportunities for my family. My son has been receiving tutoring from Rosaura since August 2019. The teaching method and the patience with which she implements it were exactly what he needed. Despite attending a preschool with a rigorous reading program and a full year of Kumon, he entered Kindergarten unprepared. After having him formally assessed, we determined that he was dyslexic. The services provided by the school district were not sufficient. After a terrible and tumultuous year of Kindergarten, we determined he needed additional help. Because his academic needs were not being met, he was also exhibiting a lot of behavioral issues. His self-esteem was extremely low, and he had a general mistrust of teachers. When Rosaura first met him, not only was she dealing with a child that could not read or write but also a child with whom she had to work extremely hard to gain his trust. She patiently worked with him twice a week, never getting perturbed by his outbursts or resistance. But most importantly, her tutoring sessions worked! He is now able to read with confidence. This has opened so many other doors for him. He can access the curriculum for other areas like math. Because you cannot do the math equation if you cannot read the directions. He can play games with his peers that involve reading directions. Whereas before an activity like that would have left him embarrassed and excluded. And probably most importantly to him, he can read the directions on his video games. The outcome has been a happier, more confident child. I cannot say enough good things about Rosaura. I highly recommend her to any parent seeking help for their child.

I’m so grateful for meeting Rosaura. We were having such a hard time with my son during Zoom School. She spent and ample amount of time helping is to understand his IEP so we could understand him and ask for additional necessary assessments. She was very generous with her time and continues to check in on my son.
