Dr. Irwin is the best tutor I’ve ever had and has been such a blessing to me. During the spring semester of my sophomore year at the University of Arkansas, I was placed in an online Calculus course, along with 18 hours of other classes. This type of math was extremely difficult for me to understand, as I had never been taught Calculus before or taken any classes for it in the past. The only resources I had at my disposal were some videos and a course textbook. I was very overwhelmed and confused, so I began desperately searching for help. I was referred to Dr. Irwin through a mutual professor we both knew. Due to living in Arkansas at the time, Dr. Irwin did everything she could to accommodate for my schedule and we met through Zoom every week. The process worked extremely well and it was a joy meeting with her online every time. The way she would articulate problems and work through them step by step really helped me achieve a solid understanding of Calculus concepts I had never seen before. She even went above and beyond to organize and send me all the notes and work we did each week so I could refer back to them when working through homework. Dr. Irwin is the most kind and caring tutor you could ever have and I’m truly grateful for all she has done for me. Due to her help, support, and outstanding instruction, I was able to achieve an A in the Calculus class. Having an excellent tutor like Dr. Irwin, truly makes a difference!

I had been struggling with Pre-Calculus in my junior year so I signed up for tutoring, Corinne has since helped me pass Pre calc, Calculus for both high school and college, and calc 2. She has been so helpful throughout the whole process, making sure I understand the content before completing it. Corinne is an excellent tutor. She is very knowledgeable about the subject material and is not afraid to back away from a challenge. I go to Texas A&M, and she tutored me in a Calc 2 class from a community college. Despite being left with no actual instruction from the community college, Corinne worked to both teach me the information and ensure I understood the concepts. She is very easy to talk to and become friends with which makes learning tedious material much more interesting.

I am so thankful I was referred to Corinne as a tutor for my Calculus II at the University of Texas. This class is by far the most difficult class I've taken in my college career. Corinne provides so many tips and tricks to help understand these difficult topics. She not only guided me through my homework, but also provided studying tips and created flashcards for me to study in preparation for exams. Corinne is also so patient and personable. She truly cares about each student and wants to see them accomplish their academic goals. I felt as if we were in this calculus journey together. I finished the semester with an -A which wouldn't have been possible without Corinne.

She is a joy to be around, conveys the content clearly, and will always bring a little shine to your week. She also teaches you ways to approach the different types of problems, which is great exam prep. She truly cares about her students and it shows in her work as well as her conversations. Being able to know someone who is so good at their job, as well as someone who cares about their students like Corinne, really does make Austin feel more like home to those far from home.
