Fernando was an amazing asset to us during this pandemic / distance learning year. He led a 4th Grade pod for our daughter and the level of academic professionalism he brought to the table was greatly appreciated. He pushed the students to go above and beyond their class curriculum and really helped them learn and understand critical concepts. He provided stability and a consistent learning environment in this otherwise challenging year. I strongly recommend Fernando to anyone needing extra support with schoolwork or additional tutoring. We started working with Fernando Ayala in September 2020 to help with my 4th grader's at home learning. In the beginning he was teaching a pod of 3-4 students and did an amazing job attending to their personal learning as well as keeping them engaged as a group since they no longer had the experience of being in class with peers. About 4 months ago my daughter started back in person school but things were working out so well with Fernando that he is still working with her a couple days a week. My 4th grader is very bright and curious but not always the best student and has challenges staying organized. She and Fernando work soooo well together and she has been maintaining her grade level curriculum as well as continuing to work on supplementary curriculum that Fernando designs for her. We hope to keep him as a tutor as she moves into 5th grade next year. Now we feel like he is part of our family. Highly recommend 🙂
