This gym has been amazing to train at. Everyone is extremely friendly. I was originally intimidated, but the place has a friendly, family-like atmosphere. I have learned a ton and have made some great friends. 10/10 recommend regardless of level of experience!

had to take a break from this place because of personal reasons, but great christian environment, they love to help the kids and teens learn individually, and you learn new techniques FAST. definitely plan on coming back, but the staff is also very kind, and understanding, and no drama whatsoever. Amazing jiu jitsu classes, and very fair pricing as well. big ups to modern warrior!

Absolute amazing community with stellar coaches.
As a female who has only practiced Jiu Jitsu for a few years, I can say with full confidence that this gym is a gem! I have been to gyms where the ego is too high and those at the gym make it seem like you have to earn your way in. At Modern Warrior Combatives I felt nothing but complete acceptance and respect when I walked in the doors. Wandell is a patient and wise teacher and understands that everyone learns best in different ways.
I knew right away that this was the gym I wanted to train with. It’s built on a community that cares about each other, challenges each other and grows with each other on the mat. I could not be happier to continue my progress here. If you’re thinking about trying it out- just go!

MWC is a great training environment with coaches that really dedicate their time and effort into you becoming the best you can be. Coaches make sure you pick up all the key detail in a technique. They can cater to your needs whether you are a hobbyist or competitor. Friday open mat is the best time to come for everyone as they provide fun interactive situational based games that elevates you jiu jitsu without putting too much thought. Students also play a part in making the gym great and are encouraging in you and everyone else achieve goals.

I’ve been at modern for several months now and I have progressed leaps and bounds from walking in the door and starting from square one and getting in great shape while I’m at it. The coaches are the best of the best in their instruction and the atmosphere they’ve created. Highly recommend to anyone curious about jiu jitsu!
