Mark Lewis is the real deal for learning to fly. I obtained my private pilot license at Lewis Aviation Training and plan to continue with my Instrument and CFI. He came up with a plan for obtaining all my instruction and flights in the most efficient way possible, and I was able to schedule everything with no problem whatsoever.

He is a fantastic instructor and is simply a joy to be around. I highly recommend anyone going through Army flight school to obtain your airplane ratings with him. Simply the Best!

I met Mark during initial helicopter flight training for the Army in 2005. He taught Weather Principles at that time. During his introduction, he made mention that he was also a fixed wing instructor. Almost a year later, while going through the CH-47 AQC, I also began flight lessons with Mark at his then Enterprise AL location. Mark teaches to the level of the individual. He can cater the lesson to the individual's knowledge and experience. While also providing an appropriately challenged curriculum.

Mark's expertise and relaxing reaching style is a direct contribution to my abilities and skills today as a United Airlines Captain.

Thank you Mr Lewis for your impact upon my life.. It all began with you!

Trained with them for about a month. Nothing remarkable nor negative to say about the actual instruction, but I definitely took issue to the pricing. I had been quoted at $2520 for 12 hours of training ($165/hr aircraft $45/hr instructor) which matched the website; but when I arrived, I was charged about $400 for a “one-time registration fee.” You need to understand that this school doesn’t require you to have renter’s insurance, which is roughly equivalent to $400 for a new student, but renter’s insurance carries with you, whereas this registration fee does not. I have been with three other flight schools and was never charged a registration fee, so I can’t really say it’s common in my experience. Similarly, this is mentioned nowhere on the website. Suffice to say, I did not get my 12 hours out of the quoted cost. I am not accusing them of being dishonest, but flight training is already expensive, and new learners should not have to worry about financing discrepancies when they should just be worrying about learning.

Beware if you’re a flight school student. Not good reliable with coordinating flight hours.
