I signed up my son for an extensive tutoring program over the summer as a “prep” for high school applications. When described during the meeting, the presenter talked about how the test was needed for private high school applications. As we are now going through the process of private high school applications, I have come to find out that this in fact is not the case. Had the presenter been transparent and said this was a needed test for St. Francis and whatever other school requires it, we would not have paid the 1K+. If you are applying for La Salle or Maranatha, you definitely do not need to take this prep course as testing is not required for admissions to those schools. My kid was also given the wrong grade testing and although I emailed the teacher, I never heard back. The only positive aspect of this is that my kiddo made new friends. As far as any learning, it was a waste of time and money. Transparency would go a long way! Would not recommend it!

Learning Ladder is an amazing tutoring center. Lori is so responsive and kind. She really cares about the quality of tutoring given to all of the students. My son has been receiving HSPT and math online tutoring and has greatly improved his scores. The tutors were very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tutoring center.

His clear explanations and patient teaching style made complex concepts much easier to understand. Lori was very present and flexible for scheduling and keeping the tutors on track. There were several times we had to reschedule sessions and it was always easy, no muss no fuss. At one point we wanted the focus of our son’s studies to shift and that was done no problem. Lori always seems available even though she has lots of things on her hands. She knows the system very well and especially with regards to St Francis, for which she organizes events to help the kids get acquainted with the relevant people there and vice versa. Our son did well enough that he was offered an academic scholarship there. Thanks Lori!

The Learning Ladder Director an Tutors are very professional. They know to focus their test-prep courses on what it takes to get accepted into private high schools. My son’s pre-test score was heartbreaking but after completing the boot camps and private tutoring, he got accepted into the two schools he applied to. They prepped him for his interviews and even gave recommendations for dressing for success! I highly recommend them and I am very grateful for all their support!
