We stayed one night and loved it. It is a quaint, historic hotel with a fantastic location right on main street. They clearly take pains to maintain the old world look/feel and it doesn't disappoint. The breakfast experience was the highlight - very hearty and extremely healthy. They also serve you at the table instead of you having to get food from a buffet. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

We spent 2 nights here over Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was absolutely amazing, and the ambiance and decor of an 1897 hotel was delightful. Additionally the breakfast was a wonderful treat.

What a beautiful quaint old fashioned hotel the Julian Hotel is. The staff couldn't do enough for you. They gave us a great history of the original hotel owners and a good history of the hotel upgrades over the years. It has just enough rooms and the rooms were just the right size for a cozy little stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and very filling. It was served in an old fashion parlor. You could sit in the parlor at nighttime and just relax. The hotel serves nonalcoholic drinks for a few hours and the hotel has many different games that you have access to. The hotel also has a small room off of the parlor with a stove to keep you warm on colder winter nights. The hotel also sells Queen's Oats Original Granola that is made at the hotel which is delicious.

Feeling like you are back in time! with super hosts and very clean. the decorations, objects in the lobby, and breakfast were amazing. we stayed in the honeymoon cottage with plenty of space and privacy. in the heart of Julian village. we will definitely come back.

What a little gem of a hotel! It really does feel like you are stepping back in time to the days of the Gold-Rush, and you can certainly imagine the guests that stayed there. A hotel with no TVs (including in your room) it means games, books and conversations must be had. The delightful breakfast was definitely a highlight!!

Stayed one night for our anniversary. The location is great in the small town we could walk to everything. The property is cute and the rooms quaint. We were in room 20 which shares a door with the dining room so we could hear breakfast in the morning. The bed was super uncomfortable and the pillows were flat and lumpy, in desperate need of replacing. The room overall was clean and a good size for two. Breakfast was delicious but was all carbs- fruit, waffle, more fruit, two spoonfuls of yogurt and a small bowl of about ⅓ cup granola. It really needed some eggs or meat. Street parking was free and easy to find. Was a nice place to stay for a small getaway to Julian overall.

Fantastic BNB experience! Superbly comfortable and clean room and bedroom. Service was great, super cheerful and helpful. Amazing decor, and very clean. Bathroom was completely dialed in. Great location as you can walk to everything from here. Wonderful breakfast and great coffee!
