It’s a really unique experience to visit Wolf Center, got to see two species of wolves. One is northwestern wolf and the other is Mexican wolf, there are 5 wolves in total we saw. The instructor was very professional and had a very nice educational talk about the wolves and how they protect them. I think the experience is very nice, highly recommend.

This review is for the gift shop in town only. It has a very nice selection of animal and nature themed decor and gifts.

I'm baffled by some of these reviews. Why would you drive 3 hours to an attraction without checking hours and reservation requirements? (to see the wolves). It's not a public zoo. And there is a public restroom right across the street.
I agree the people working in the store could use more training in customer service. I asked if there was a card or info about the Wolf Center and was told simply 'No'. Weird.

Well, I start by saying I've never been to the california wolf center, but would love to go someday. Okay now the review....we entered and were immediately greeted by an employee. She told us about the organization and about a 15 minute film they were showing in the back. It was a documentary, interesting, but I would have preferred a film about their organization. The store is small, but has a lot of things mostly wolf stuff, some bear stuff, and domestic pet. You can find items ranging from 3 dollars to 300. In conclusion, this store is nice,but BUT is limited in selection. I would like to see key chains, blankets, and shirts or sweaters of WOLVES. Not their logo only. Sketches or drawings of wolves on these items.

This unique nature center/store has a tremendous variety of nature (and of course wolf) items!! All proceeds go to Julian Nature Conservation efforts! There's inexpensive items (gifts,gifts,, hand-made crafts... allll the way up to STUNNING sculptures, paintings and other quality art. There's an education room where you can study animal skulls and view nature media. The empyees are very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Even if you don't want to buy any of their fair-priced items, please donate to their nature-saving causes. This gem of a store is a block off the main street and an about MUST-SEE when in julian CA!

I visited the California Wolf Center Store in Julian. It is loaded with merchandise for the animal and nature lover. Purchases fund the California Wolf Center. You can also learn more about their wolf sanctuary, gray wolf conservation and biology. Programs are for adults as well as children. A great store to shop and learn! Fun for the whole family!

You need a reservation to see the wolves. You cannot buy at this location
You have to go online and the only have 2-3 times a day. This, I did not know. So, when I arrived here after a 3 hour drive,I was told there were no more... no empathy at all. I asked to use the restroom and again, was told no. What I was left with was a gift shop. I understand that I should have done more research, however a little courtesy would have been appreciated. I will try again. Hopefully I can improve my rating then.
