The educational expectations are high. My student seems to be happy with the culture of the school overall.
I do see some cracks in the organizational foundation of the establishment, such as questionable hires concerning staff, cultural and political trends to influence in decision making, and an overcrowding of the campus. To their defense political and cultural trends have stepped into many institutions and policies are hardly in place at middle schools to protect against this revolving phenomena, and the questionable hires for teaching staff and overcrowding nearly go hand in hand. They need staff to educate. The overcrowding is due to an influx of families to the area that was probably, for the most part, unforeseen. These are issues that I expect MVMM to change and remedy with time.
There are excellent staff members there who strive to keep parents informed and to improve the shortfalls by impacting the students' educational goals in a positive way.
Overall, the test scores speak for themselves.
No school is an oasis, if you've been to one.. you know. This place is fairly close.
