Our family has spent more than 12 years at Life Christian Academy. We enjoy the teachers and the fellowship with other students. It is a blessing to be around students that stick with their studies and want to learn. I have taught high school classes for the last eight years and have seen a positive learning environment among my students. Students have even encouraged me to read the classics as a result of spending time speaking to these young adults. I appreciate the commitment to teach from a Biblical worldview.

I have all told spent 15 years at this school, and during this time Life Christian Academy became like a second home to me. It was a place of kind and caring friends and teachers- a place of fellowship and learning. While there is no school that is perfect, Life Christian Academy prepared me exceptionally well for college and despite its multiple flaws I have had more positive memories there than I could possibly count. The atmosphere at the school is one that encouraged my personal growth as a Christian, welcomed the expression of my Christian beliefs, but at the same time encouraged an open-minded education. Furthermore, I was welcomed and accepted despite having unusual pastimes and a quirky personality that at many schools would have made me an outsider. In conclusion, there is no other school that I would have rather attended for my K-12 education and I would not be the person that I am today without Life Christian Academy.

Went here for my high school years, and I couldn't be more thankful for the staff and teachers! Having a biblical perspective taught to me helped my growth and understanding. I was able to participate in many different activities since the classes I took only met once a week. This also helped me transition into college easily, even after a gap year. I could go on about the blessing of this place, but I'll leave it at this, I learned so many helpful skills for the future and am really thankful.

Our family has been enrolled in Life Christian Academy (LCA) for almost 16 years, and we are overwhelmed by God's goodness to us and how He has used the folks at LCA to minister to us. We have graduated three students from there and have three more to go over the next four years. We greatly appreciate the support and encouragement we have received and the fellowship with like-minded Christians. It has given our children a tremendous sense of covenant community, and the folks at LCA have been our extended church family. No one is perfect, and we are all works in progress. The dress code is fairly strict but not oppressively so. Parents read and agree to the rules before joining. My older children were very fond of the original headmaster, and with the switch to the new headmaster right before they graduated, they didn't have much time to get to know him very well. As a new authority figure coming in, he wasn't popular with my kids who were high schoolers at the time. But my younger four children love the headmaster and all the staff and teachers at the school. We had lots of opportunities as homeschoolers that we wouldn't have had if we had been lone rangers. Over the years, our kids were involved in christian education speech and music competitions at the state and national level, regional and state science fairs, choir, and basketball and karate programs. The high school classes were excellent preparation for college work! For our younger children, "Friday School" was a big highlight. Life is not perfect. Occasionally we had conflicts (the normal kind you have with kids and parents anywhere), but they were opportunities for growth and learning how to resolve differences. And in time, we could see the Lord working in our hearts and in others. We're glad we hung in there, even though once or twice I wanted to pull out. On those occasions, our kids begged us to stay even when they were struggling or someone had hurt their feelings. There are several schools of thought within the homeschooling community, and LCA is not a good fit for every family. LCA does give parents the freedom to tailor their child's education, but it is more structured and traditional than some of the other options. Over the years it has grown more into a hybrid of homeschooling and traditional private Christian education. There are many good school choices in our area, and parents should prayerfully find the best fit for their family.

Having just graduated college and bought my first home with my husband, I reflect back often on what God used to the lay foundation of faith that has carried me to this point in my walk with the Lord. What comes to mind most poignantly is the deeply Christian education I received at LCA. I took classes such as old and new testament histories, logic, and biblical worldview. These classes trained me to think critically, logically and biblically. Not only these, but even the science classes pointed to our great Creator, as science truly should. It was an all-around wonderfully enriching education and I hope my children are blessed with a similar one.

This place has been like a second home for me for the past 6 years. Contrary to what other people say, we go out of our way to encourage and include everyone. Had I been at another school, I would have been an outsider, but our whole school makes sure that everyone is nice to everyone and that everyone feels the Christian love that we strive to show. Everyone's enthusiasm to serve and worship is refreshing. While we do have a fairly strict dress code which is simply to ensure modesty, it shouldn't cover up the positive enviroment and great things. With a strong, Christian but open-minded education, a safe place to be myself and a place of love, worship and fun, I wouldn't have finished out my high school career at any other place.

Four years later, now in college, I consider myself blessed for the time I spent at LCA. The faculty though not flawless, truly has a heart for God. What I learned there for 12 years has more than prepared me mentally, physically, and spiritually for the challenges of a 4 year engineering degree and I would strongly recommend LCA to any parent seeking to enrich their children's lives.
