I have been a student at the Kumon Center in Woodland ever since it opened. Everyday that I go there, I am always welcomed with a warm and inviting smile from Dr. Ngo. She is, honestly, one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. From the start, she has always been an amazing instructor. She keeps kids in discipline, helps them when it is needed, and cares for every single child that joins Kumon, no matter how long they stay; she treats them like family. She has pushed me to be the best version of myself, and I have learned a lot from her. When I first joined Kumon, I was not very good at math. I struggled to do the simplest of problems, and often times I would use my fingers to count. Dr.Ngo trained me to be able to do the math in my head and to do it effectively. Now, I am amazing at math. Not only in Kumon but also in school. Everyday in math, I find myself being able to fly through my work. My teachers are always super impressed with the way that I am able to complete my math problems both efficiently and accurately. None of this would have been complete without Kumon, especially Dr. Ngo. She is the most hardworking woman ever. She is there everyday from start time to close time, trying to create a brighter future for your kids. Even after, she spends her time planning, creating books that explain harder math problems, and cleaning the place just for her students. She rarely gets enough sleep and is there all throughout the year. If you think about that, that means she doesn't get to skip a day because she feels like it or she may not be feeling well. Neither does she rarely get to go on vacation!! She has a family at home, but she also thinks of her students as her family. That's why she puts so much care into the work that she does and the people that she works with. She sees potential in every single one of her students. Whether you go to Kumon for a month, a year, two years, or etc, you will see amazing results. Throughout the years, Dr. Ngo has seen me grow up as a person and also grow up in my mind. When people ask me why I still go to Kumon even though I have a busy schedule and lots of homework to do, my answer is always the same, "Because of Dr. Ngo." She reminds me everyday that I am smart and that I can do any math problem, no matter how hard, as long as I put in the effort and dedication. If you look at the wall of this Kumon center, you will see many certificates of people finishing either the math or reading program. Part of that certificate goes to the student for working hard, but the other half also goes to Dr. Ngo for helping that student get where they are and always being their number one supporter. As I reach the end of the math program, Kumon has impacted my life in many ways. It has made me way smarter than I would have ever been, and it has taught me valuable life lessons. This place has made me amazing, but I could not have done that without Dr. Ngo. If you want your child to get more help in reading or math, this place is filled with fantastic opportunities that will surely create an amazing future for them.

As a former employee, I can truly say that you will never find someone that is more dedicated towards your child’s success than Dr. Ngo. She works with each student individually to ensure that they can reach their academic potential. Many students begin the program because they feel behind in school, but by remaining diligent, they soon find themselves performing work that is multiple grades above their grade level. Dr. Ngo additionally guides the students in developing healthy habits and confidence while also instilling within them a strong work ethic that they can carry for the rest of their lives. I would wholeheartedly recommend every parent to enroll their child into the program.

We enrolled when our oldest expressed concerns he was going to be behind in math after a semester abroad. The Kumon program not only increased his confidence, it had a clear impact on his math skills. He will start junior high as a straight A student, but more importantly, he will start with the growth mindset bolstered by Kumon. So much of the program is about habit building and instilling a work ethic, but it is paired with a curriculum that is challenging without being overwhelming.

Kumon in Woodland has been so wonderful for our 6th grader. He enjoys going and the system has really worked for him. He felt a little behind in math at the start of his 6th grade and Kumon established strong base level mathematics for him in order to feel confident in his math clases. He is on par if not exceeding where he needs to be. Highly recommend! Also, Dr.Ngo is wonderful.

I started Kumon last year because my school material wasn’t challenging.
I started at level FI for reading and E for math. I finished the reading program about two months ago and I am about to start Level L in math.
Kumon made everything in school easier. It raised my grades and helped me scored higher on tests. For example, in the last trimester, I scored 99th percentile on my NWEA, which is a standardized national test. I was the only student in the school to get such a score. Since I joined Kumon, I’ve also gotten A+ in all my classes.
My confidence has gone up. Before Kumon, I was shy and never raised my hand. Now, I am more talkative, raise my hand often, and take a leadership role.
Dr. Ngo is an excellent instructor who is kind to her students. She pushes her students to their full potential and knows that she has to be firm in order for them to succeed. It’s because of her effort that I’ve done so well in Kumon.

My son and my daughter love going to kumon,
I personally like kumon because it keeps my kids entertained and exercising their brain.
The teacher is very dedicated and passionate about teaching all her students, she is also a great person and all the personal are so nice and helpful.
My son he is a kindergarten and he knows all his multiplications and he is currently working with divisions.
