There are times where communication goes dark, but that's just the nature of the landscaping business in my opinion. We went with 4 different bids, priced between $35K and $8K for the entire back and side yards. 1st Green came in with the best design, features, and landscape for just over $16K. What Chris lacks in constant communication, he more than makes up for in beautiful design. The crew is friendly and hard working, and will listen to any concerns you have. The trees and bushes are in amazing health and huge size. Our yard is only about half finished, but I'm already giving them amazing praise, it looks like a peaceful mountain back yard in the middle of suburbia.

1st Green Colorado is by far the is without question within the top 1% of landscape design, installation, hardscape, and maintenance in the Denver Metro area.

Our main point of contact was Brady Smith, who provided the design work, plant section, and supervised the installation. Brady's plan was predicated for the micro-climate. We live in Morrison which is windy and dryer than most areas. Brady provided plans for hard-scape, the irrigation system and installed both to our specification. Francisco was the foreman of the project and he was outstanding. He was an expert when it came to the execution of the of the front and backyard. The crew of three showed up everyday on time and were extremely professional and respectful of the work being done at our house...regarding minimal disruption between us and our neighbors.

Being new to this process we required a little more hand holding and guidance, which they provided and were very patient throughout the entire process. The hard-scape work was high quality and the plants they provided were exceptional. We are SURE the next house we buy we will hire 1st Green Colorado to provide the necessary landscape plan and work to make our yard perfect. We will provide before and after pictures to this review as soon as possible.

My neighbor had her backyard done by 1st Green Colorado. As I watched the crew come in each day and work, I knew right off this was an excellent company. They were hard working and always leaving the site picked up each night. When their work was complete next door and I could see the finished product there was no doubt in my mind I wanted them to do my backyard. A few months later I had a new, beautiful backyard that included a large patio, walking paths, raised garden beds, irrigation, plants and trees. Chris and team are super easy to work with and came up with great ideas and even helped me work within budget while not feeling like I had to compromise my original vision too much. I'm going to have them back out this Summer to do a fire-pit and add more trees from their nursery.

If I could give this company no stars I would. Horrible communication, owner Chris did the estimate incorrectly and didn't respond to me by email or phone after multiple attempts. When I complained to him about it he hung up the phone on me. He seems to think that he is the only good landscaping/hardscaping company in Colorado. 1st Green Colorado should be renamed to Last Green Colorado because they are the LAST company in the world I will give my $50K job to. If you wanted to be treated like another number instead of being treated as a customer than go with this company. The greedy owner Chris doesn't care about you just cares about the $$$$. Well too bad for him he just lost $50K.

Disappointed is an understatement… angry would be more accurate. To say this company drops the ball with any communication is being nice. Add in the fact that they treat potential new clients with short, rude responses during the bid process is a deal breaker. What happened to business’ honoring what they promise? After receiving my first bid from this company, in my living room the sales guy Chris promised to answer any follow up questions, promised to work with me to decide on how to phase out a $40k+ bid that had obvious egregious mark ups. Then with his final breath he promised to send over a copy of the design in an email the next day, “its free, no worries”- Chris. Weeks later nothing. Just as we were about to decide to actually move forward with this landscaping company, we requested the design to review as he promised before and we received the following:

"We are no longer bidding new jobs. We are more than happy to send you an HOA approved design. There is a $500.00 charge for the design."

Well I’m more than happy to not move forward with you Chris and 1stgreen inc. AND I’m glad I avoided what would likely end in a nightmare process, void of communication and a project that would likely fall short of promises like the empty ones you made in the bidding process. Move on folks, its simply not worth the money and commitment to deal with a company like this.

1st Green planted 50+ spruce trees on our property and over half are not going to survive. We have spent a fortune treating them and trying to help them with no results. Now, 1st Green is refusing to follow through with their warranty. Chris, the owner, stopped responding to emails in a timely manner and was very rude and disrespectful to my wife. He frequently did not take her seriously and would force me to get engaged.

Located in an area of Broomfield where new homes are being completed on almost a daily basis, we had the opportunity to evaluate the work of several landscapers. The finished work of most of these was generally at a very high level of quality. One, however, really stood out, 1st Green Colorado.

Working with 1st Green Colorado was truly a creative pleasure. Planning was thorough and timely starting with our general thoughts and preferences, and transforming them into a detailed plot plan that was brought to life in less than two weeks. We are totally satisfied with all aspects of working with 1st Green. Their work reflects the professionalism and skill that they applied to deliver the beautiful landscaping that is subtle and distinctive.

The work that was done in my courtyard was done by one of their crew, and he was so kind and meticulous. He did a great job. The plants that were put in appear to be of really good quality. Chris communicated with me in a timely fashion. I will highly recommed them to friends and family.
